G'DAY MATE!

I am Daisy Brown.

I take pride in sharing my passion and knowledge of Australia's diverse ecosystems & environments, wildlife, flora & fauna. My interest in Indigenous Australian Cultures, outdoor adventures, hospitality, eco-tourism and education has led me to become a Tour Guide.

My guiding approach focuses on sustainable and ethical travel education. 'Tread Lightly With Purpose' is full of responsible resources and personal local insight to encourage you to minimise your impact on the environment whilst maximising your Aussie experiences!

GET TO KNOW ME

I was born in the 'big smoke' (Sydney) but I feel most at home in wild and natural spaces. I have lived & worked in all states & territories of Australia, which includes residing in remote Indigenous communities and in isolated, desolate wilderness areas. I am an open-minded individual and I share my personal experiences with aim to inspire others to meet their life-potential, through responsible and sustainable travel and appreciation for Mother Nature.

I enjoy engaging with different cultural groups, communities, organisations and individuals to share, respect and celebrate all types of people, their customs & capabilities. My tours promote integrity through respect for individuals, celebration of diversity, motivation and inclusion whilst offering clear communication and local recommendations.

I have a deep interest in Traditional bush medicine, 'bush tucker' (food) and Indigenous Australian Cultures. I promote eco-tourism with a focus on experiences in natural areas; places that foster environmental and cultural understanding, sustainability & conservation practises.

When I'm not running tours around Australia, I live off-grid in a 4x4 self-converted camper-van. I lead a minimalistic lifestyle and enjoy time spent in nature. My hobbies include camping, kayaking, bushwalking, nature swimming (ocean, rivers & waterfalls), star-gazing, photography, cooking and creating art for my beautiful friends & family.

Follow my adventures and always 'Tread Lightly With Purpose'!

CHARITY WORK & VOLUNTEER INITIATIVES

I take pride in aligning my time and energy to friends, clientele (travellers), employers, non-profit organisations, social enterprises and government funded initiatives that protect our environment, promote holistic health and mental wellbeing, raise awareness about humanitarian issues and contribute to the wellness of our natural world.

I actively volunteer part time as a Scout Leader for my local community. I teach kayaking, abseiling, orienteering, survival & life skills to young people. I am a volunteer Surf Life Saver and I educate visitors about Australian beach safety and how to respect Mother Ocean. I am trained in Wilderness First Aid which has prepared me to respond to emergency situations in remote locations or wilderness settings where professional medical help is not available.

TAKE 3 FOR THE SEA

Take 3 for the Sea is an Aussie non-profit organisation focused on reducing plastic pollution, particularly in marine environments. This organisation is close to my heart and encourages simple action: whenever someone visits the beach or any waterway (river, stream, lake, billabong) they are asked to pick up 3 pieces of litter. This initiative aims to spread awareness about the environmental impact of plastic waste and to inspire every day actions to protect our precious ecosystems.
