SOVEREIGNTY HAS NEVER BEEN CEDED IN AUSTRALIA
I acknowledge all Indigenous Australians across the continent.
Australia always was, and always will be Aboriginal land.
As an individual of caucasian descent, I acknowledge and recognise the privileges associated with my racial identity.
I understand that my lived experiences are shaped by societal structures that often afford me certain advantages.
LET'S GET A FEW THINGS STRAIGHT...
There are HUNDREDS of Indigenous Australian Countries that make up the continent of Australia, each with their own unique Culture, language, customs and beliefs. These First Nations encompass diverse environments, from deserts to coastal regions. Therefore, the cultural practises, belief systems and social structures vary significantly within Indigenous Cultures across the Australian continent.
I have combined Cultural and academic research with my personal interactions and relationships with Indigenous Australians, lessons from Traditional Elders and my professional experiences with Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander People(s) to create a guidebook to introduce Indigenous Australian Culture(s) to non-Indigenous people.
Do your own research and learn some basic Indigenous Australian knowledge from my guidebook. Learn about all relative topics including Indigenous beliefs, Spirituality, gender roles, land management, astronomy and navigation, Aboriginal reconciliation, Indigenous initiatives and how to become an ally and show your support.
